Navy and Air Force got magisterial powers

Not only the Army, but all commissioned officers of the Ebernave and Air Force have been empowered as Executive Magistrates. This power has been given by amending the notification. This information was informed by the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday.
Earlier, the Ministry of Public Administration had issued a notification on September 17 empowering the commissioned officers of the army as executive magistrates. Now this notification has been amended and this power has been given to the commissioned officers of the armed forces. This power has been given for the next two months under Sections 12(1) and 17 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, the notification said.
