Modi says it is not possible to 'silence' Sheikh Hasina!

In a long interview with the influential Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera, the interim government's chief advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus highlighted the recent political unrest, former dictator Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's refuge in India and various aspects of the corruption of the former government. In this video interview released on Sunday, Dr. Yunus made several important and sensitive comments.
The interview was conducted by Al Jazeera journalist Neve Barker. When she drew Dr. Yunus' attention to Sheikh Hasina's various statements and statements, the chief advisor said that he had recently met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly at the BIMSTEC summit.
Dr. Yunus said, "I requested Modi to 'silence' Sheikh Hasina because her statements are creating tension in our country. But Modi made it clear that it is not possible to do so in India. Because social media is open to everyone in India. He cannot impose any control there."
When Al Jazeera's journalist asked what the interim government's position was on Sheikh Hasina's various statements from India, Dr. Yunus said, "I told Modi, if you want to keep her, keep her. But stop her speeches. Because her speeches are causing us suffering."
At that time, according to Dr. Yunus, Modi made it clear to him that there is freedom of expression in India and the government does not interfere in the use of social media. Therefore, he cannot impose control over the statements Sheikh Hasina is making.
Analysts believe that Dr. Yunus's comments in this interview have added a new dimension to the political situation in Bangladesh.
