Arsa members arrested with rifles from Myanmar

Armed Police Battalion (APBN) arrested Mohammad Ilyas (26), a member of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (Arsa) who returned from Myanmar in Ukhiya Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar. At that time, two rifles with 50 rounds of ammunition were seized from him. He is a resident of A-15 Sub Block of Rohingya Camp No. 11 in Ukhiya. The arrested Mohammad Ilyas has been handed over to Ukhia police station.
This information was informed in a press release sent by APBN on Sunday (July 14).
It is known that he was arrested from the M-35 block area of Camp No. 20 on Saturday (July 13) around 1:30 pm based on secret information. The captain of the 14 armed police battalion engaged in maintaining law and order in the Rohingya camp (Additional DIG). Iqbal said, recently an Arsa member returned from Myanmar's civil war was arrested with weapons seized. He said that he has been handed over to Ukhia police station. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ukhia Police Station Shamim Hossain said that a case will be filed against him under the Arms Act.
