Training plane crashes in Uttara: Death toll rises to 27, 25 children

The death toll in the tragic incident of a training plane crash in the Milestone School and College area of ​​Uttara in the capital has risen to 27. Doctors said that 25 of them are children. This information was given by Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor, Professor Dr. Sayedur Rahman, at an emergency press conference organized at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery at 8:20 am on Tuesday.

He said, "So far, the bodies of 20 people have been handed over to their relatives. We are continuing to provide medical services, but the condition of some patients is still critical."

Dr. Sayedur also said, "Most of the deceased are children, who are below the age of 12. Most of the burned people have severe burns on their bodies."

Assuring about the treatment, he said, "We have all kinds of medical preparations. Currently, 78 people are undergoing treatment in different hospitals. The condition of five of them is critical."

The incident has cast a shadow of mourning across the country. An investigation is underway into how the accident happened and who was responsible.
