A.League leader Rustam Khandaka arrested from Benapole International Checkpost

Police and BGB members arrested Awami League leader Rustom Khandkar, accused in the case of murder of Kishore Adil during the anti-discrimination student movement in Fatulla, from Benapole International Checkpost while fleeing to India.
Immigration police arrested him from Benapole in Jessore on Thursday (October 17) afternoon. But his associates managed to escape. Rustom Khandaker Fatullah is the General Secretary of Union's Volunteer League.
Benapole Immigration Officer-in-Charge (OC)-2 Omar Farooq Majumder said that when Rustam Khandkar entered Benapole Immigration on Thursday, the security personnel working there became suspicious.
At one stage of interrogation, it is known that he is the accused in the case of killing Kishore Adil in the anti-discrimination student movement in Fatulla.
He also said that the arrested Rustam Khandkar has been initially handed over to Benapole Port Police Station. Later he will be handed over to Fatulla police station.
The immigration police has increased the security of the check post immigration building so that the criminals cannot escape from the country. The police, BGB and members of the intelligence agency of the government are interrogating the suspects of passport passengers.
