BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and her family witnessed an emotional farewell at London's Heathrow Airport while returning home after a long treatment abroad. This scene of saying goodbye to her son has fascinated many.
When Khaleda Zia arrived at Heathrow Airport before leaving for Dhaka, her son, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, met her. At the moment of farewell, Khaleda Zia said emotionally, "How long will you stand?" In response, Tarique Rahman said, "I will take my daughter Jaima after you board the plane."
This emotional scene was posted on Tarique Rahman's verified Facebook page. In the video, it can be seen that Khaleda Zia, who is sitting in a wheelchair, is accompanied by her granddaughter Jaima Rahman and two daughters-in-law. Khaleda Zia requested Tarique Rahman's fellow passengers, "You should take care of your brother."
Earlier, they left their London home at 6:45 pm on Monday (May 5) Bangladesh time. At 4:10 pm UK time and 9:10 pm Bangladesh time, Khaleda Zia left for Dhaka in a special air ambulance sent by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. She is accompanied by two daughters-in-law, a special medical board and a 9-member delegation.
Incidentally, Khaleda Zia had gone to London on January 8 for advanced treatment in the same royal air ambulance sent by the Emir of Qatar. She is returning home in the same vehicle after a long four months.
Meanwhile, BNP has completed all preparations for Khaleda Zia's arrival. Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has instructed party leaders and activists to welcome the leader in an orderly manner.
