Kazi Zeba Tahsin, the spokesperson of the district branch of the Faridpur Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement, has resigned in protest against the reinstatement of committees that were dissolved due to extortion charges. He announced his resignation on his Facebook ID on Sunday (November 2) night.

In the post, he mentioned that serving as the spokesperson of Faridpur district for a long time was a valuable chapter in his life. However, after the committee was recently reactivated, he is voluntarily resigning from the post due to personal and family reasons. He said that even after resigning, his love, faith and commitment to the movement will remain intact and he will remain steadfast in his dream of building a society without discrimination, even in a different role.

Earlier, on July 27, the activities of all district committees across the country were suspended due to extortion charges. Central Committee President Rifat Rashid announced this decision on that day. However, in a letter signed on November 2, the suspension order on all committees across the country was lifted.

Immediately after this decision, Faridpur spokesperson Kazi Zeba Tahsin announced his resignation.
