Tarique Rahman to be Bangladesh's 19th Prime Minister: Innovation Consulting

As the election time approaches, the support for BNP among the people is getting stronger. This information was given by the private consulting firm Innovation Consulting, which was reflected in the third round of its 'People's Election Pulse Survey (PEPS). According to the survey results, 47.6 percent of people think that BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman can become the Prime Minister of Bangladesh in the future.

The survey report shows that a section of Jamaat or National Citizen Party (NCP) supporters in the previous round are now leaning towards BNP. At the same time, a large section of supporters of the ousted Awami League have also expressed the possibility of voting for BNP. As a result, BNP's influence in the political equation has increased, and many undecided voters are now being attracted towards the party.

The PEPS survey said that after Tarique Rahman's return to the country and the death of Khaleda Zia, many voters have increased their support for BNP. The area-wise survey found that 52.9 percent of people think that the BNP candidate is likely to win in their area in the next election. On the other hand, 23.8 percent of voters are not sure. BNP's potential win rate in Round 3 has increased by 7.5 percent compared to Round 2, while Jamaat and its alliance supporters are relatively less volatile.

In addition, public sentiment has also been surveyed in the referendum on fundamental constitutional reforms along with the current election. The report said that about 60 percent of people voted 'yes' in the referendum. On the other hand, 22 percent of voters said that they did not have a clear idea about the issue.

The survey analysis showed that many previously undecided voters and those who did not support any party before are now supporting BNP. 26.6 percent of BNP's potential votes came from these previously undecided voters. Moreover, there is more volatility among Jamaat and its alliance supporters, which has made BNP a stronger position in the country's politics.

The results of this survey suggest that BNP's influence is growing in Bangladesh in the upcoming elections and referendums, and that people are increasingly hopeful of Tarique Rahman as the future prime minister. This provides an important insight into the country's political landscape and voter sentiment.
