Mirza Abbas, a member of the BNP Standing Committee and a political advisor to the Prime Minister, has returned home after undergoing medical treatment in Malaysia for nearly a month. He arrived in Dhaka on Wednesday (October 14) around 9:00 PM on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight.
Mizanur Rahman Sohel, Assistant Private Secretary to Mirza Abbas, confirmed his return. He stated that Mirza Abbas is now in much better health following his treatment. His wife, Afroza Abbas, and his son, Mirza Yasir Abbas, also returned with him.

Previously, on September 16, Mirza Abbas had traveled to Malaysia for follow-up medical care, where he received treatment at the Prince Court Medical Centre.
On March 11, he suddenly fell ill and lost consciousness during Iftar, leading to his admission to Evercare Hospital in the capital. Medical examinations revealed that he had suffered a brain hemorrhage.

Following surgery, he was transported to Singapore via air ambulance for advanced medical care. After an extended period of treatment in Singapore and Malaysia, he had returned home on September 2.
However, upon the advice of his doctors, the BNP leader had to return to Malaysia for further health check-ups. He has now returned home once again, following this latest round of medical care.
This development was also confirmed in reports by bdnews24 and Bangla Tribune on October 14.
