Bangladesh team will tour India this month. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet announced the squad for this series. Before that, there was a change in the selection panel of BCCI.
The new selector is Ajay Ratra. He succeeded Salil Ankola. BCCI informed the selection committee about this change on Tuesday.
BCCI said, 'Ajay Rattra along with other members of the National Selection Committee will handle the team selection from now on. Ratra will work with the youngsters who will represent Indian cricket on the world stage in the coming days.
He has experience working as a coach in Assam, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Has also worked with the Indian team in the past. This experience will also be helpful in his new role.'
Earlier, Ajay was the assistant coach of the Indian national team. He also played for the national team. This former wicketkeeper-batter will be seen in a new role this time. He is a member of Ajit Agarkar's selection panel. He will start work by selecting the team for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.
