Atletico's controversial penalty draws Madrid derby!

Real Madrid left the field with a 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid thanks to Kylian Mbappe's goal. Despite sharing points in this derby, Carlo Ancelotti's team retained the top spot in the table. Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez scored a goal from a controversial penalty in the first half of the match. However, Mbappe returned to the draw for Real Madrid immediately after the break.
In this draw, Real Madrid is at the top with 59 points from 24 matches, Atletico is in second place with one point less. If they win against Sevilla today (February 9), third-placed Barcelona will come closer to the top two teams.
