Kurigram Conscious Citizens Committee (SANAK) formed under the inspiration of TIB and the district administration separately celebrated the day with various programs keeping in mind the motto "New Bangladesh: I want freedom of speech, I want free access to information".

A rally, human chain and discussion meeting was held on Kurigram-Rangpur road in Khalilganj Bazar area on Saturday morning under the initiative of Sanak. Later Deputy Commissioner Nusrat Sultana presided over the discussion meeting in the Deputy Commissioner conference room.
