EB students demand bus service on Kumarkhali route

Students of Islami University (EB) submitted a memorandum demanding bus service on Panti-Kumarkhali route from campus for safe journey. Sunday (September 29) around 12 noon Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. They presented this memorial script to Nakeeb Mohammad Nasrullah.
In the application form, the students said that about 150-200 students from Kumarkhali-Khoksa area of Kushtia district regularly travel to the campus on Panti-Kumakhali route. Most of them are female students. They are deprived of bus service on this route since the establishment of the university. Even after paying the bus service fee of the university, they spend 3000-4000 taka per month as there is no bus service on this route. Financial harassment and delay in examination leads to waste of time and money. Therefore, considering the security, the students demanded immediate bus service from the campus on the Panti-Kumarkhali route.
It should be noted that Monir Hossain, a 2022-23 year student of the university's Arabic language and literature department, died in a road accident on September 25.
A passenger Mahindra leaving from Kushtia collided head-on with a dump truck coming from the direction of Rajbari at Kalur Mor area of Kumarkhali in Kushtia. He was taken to Kushtia Sadar Hospital with severe head injuries. He died in the hospital while undergoing treatment. Since then, the students feel that they are suffering from a security threat.
