BTS Sets New Records on North American Tour

Popular K-pop group BTS has concluded its North American tour by setting new records. The group performed a total of 31 concerts across 12 cities during the North American leg of the highly acclaimed tour. Tickets for every concert sold out completely.
Approximately 1.92 million fans attended BTS concerts throughout the tour. Starting in Tampa, Florida, the tour concluded in Los Angeles.
About 282,000 fans attended the four concerts held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on September 1, 2, 5, and 6.
BTS Sets Records at SoFi Stadium
Alongside their North American tour, BTS set new records at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
The group has performed a total of eight concerts at the stadium to date, including the four shows from the 2021 "Permission to Dance on Stage" tour. This marks the highest number of concerts performed by any musical act at SoFi Stadium.
The total audience across these eight concerts was approximately 496,000, setting the record for the highest attendance by any act in the stadium's history.
"BTS Days" Across Multiple Cities
BTS also received special recognition from local authorities during their North American tour.
"BTS Week" was declared in Los Angeles from September 1 to 8. "BTS Weekend" was observed in Toronto on August 22 and 23; during this time, a section of Yonge Street was temporarily renamed "BTS Boulevard."
In Chicago, the state of Illinois declared August 27 and 28 as "BTS Day in Illinois" to mark the concerts.
"El Paso BTS Weekend" was observed in El Paso, Texas, on May 2 and 3. BTS was awarded the "Estimado Amigo" (Dear Friend) honor in recognition of their contribution to the city's tourism and international profile. Additionally, Maryland Governor Wes Moore welcomed BTS via a video message. He remarked that the seven-member group unites people across cultural, geographical, and linguistic boundaries.
Gathering of 50,000 Fans in Mexico
During their concert tour, President Claudia Sheinbaum invited BTS to the National Palace in Mexico City.
Approximately 50,000 fans gathered outside the National Palace to welcome the group.
Celebrating Jungkook and RM’s Birthdays at the Concert
Fans also celebrated the birthdays of Jungkook and RM during the Los Angeles concert. Jungkook’s birthday falls on September 1, and RM’s on September 12.
Thousands of fans sang birthday songs to convey their best wishes. Golden and blue lights illuminated the stadium; these colors were chosen to match Jungkook’s solo album *Golden* and RM’s *Indigo*.
At the final concert, J-Hope remarked that the day the tour began in Tampa felt like it was just yesterday. They had long awaited this North American tour, and he noted that time had flown by amidst the joy.
BTS Heads to South America
After North America, BTS will now tour South America. This leg of the tour will kick off with concerts in Bogotá, Colombia, on October 2 and 3.
The group will subsequently perform in Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo. This marks the first time BTS will perform as a full group in Colombia, Peru, and Argentina.
