Supreme Court lawyer Barrister ASM Shahriar Kabir does not see the attack on Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Manch and independent MP candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency, as an isolated incident.
In response to the attack, he said,
“This bullet is not on Hadi, this bullet is on the revolution of 36.”
Barrister Shahriar Kabir’s statement indicates that the incident is not just targeting an individual, but an attack against a larger political and ideological movement.
He believes that such attacks are a direct attack on democratic political practices and the desire for change. He demanded that the matter be investigated seriously and the culprits be brought to justice quickly.
This statement has sparked fresh discussions in political circles and various questions have started to arise about the motive behind the attack.
