Distribution of educational materials by Shishu Swarg Foundation in Tentulia

In Tentulia, Panchagarh, in collaboration with Everest Pharmaceuticals Limited, Shishu Swarg Foundation, a non-governmental development organization, has distributed winter clothes, school bags and various educational materials to young students. The local people have appreciated this initiative to encourage children from poor and marginalized areas to study during this winter season.
Organized on Saturday (January 10) afternoon at the Tentulia Government Pilot Model High School grounds, these educational materials were distributed as gifts to about 1,035 students from 16 primary schools in Tentulia Upazila. The entire ground came alive with the joy and enthusiasm of the students at the event.
The program was hosted by Kabir Hossain, a senior teacher of Banglabanda. It was presided over by Md. Majnu Mollah, Direct FCA of Everest Pharmaceuticals Limited. Director General (Additional Secretary) Syed Md. Nurul Basir was present as the chief guest. At the beginning of the program, Kabir Ahmed Akand, founder of Shishu Swarg Foundation, delivered a welcome speech, highlighting the organization's goals and long-standing activities.
Joint Secretary of the Health Services Department Rafiqul Islam Selim, FCA Director of Everest Pharmaceuticals Limited Anjan Mullick, Director Md. Zakir Hossain, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Tentulia SM Akash, environmentalist and national medalist Mahmudul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Tentulia Model Police Station Rasedul Islam, President of Tentulia Upazila BNP Shahadat Hossain Ranju, and former Chairman of Upazila Parishad and General Secretary of Tentulia BNP Rezaul Karim Shahin spoke as special guests.
Also present at the event were Upazila BNP Joint Convener Abu Sayeed Mia, former Women Vice Chairman Sultana Razia, Panchagarh Rawshan Ara Memorial Shishu Swarga Foundation Headmaster Nazrul Islam and other prominent figures from various walks of life.
The organizers said that the main objective of this event is to increase children's interest in education and alleviate the hardships of winter. The speakers expressed the hope that along with education, humanitarian assistance will play an important role in shaping the future of children.
As part of this day-long winter festival, a pleasant cultural program was organized in the evening by the initiative of the Shishu Swarga Foundation. It is worth mentioning that the Shishu Swarga Foundation, run by former students of Jahangirnagar University, has been working to improve the quality of life of neglected children in Tentulia, Panchagarh, a northern frontier district, since 2010. The organization regularly implements various social development programs including providing scholarships, distributing winter clothes and Eid clothes every year.
