Lamia Chowdhury, daughter of late actress Diti and actor Sohel Chowdhury, was attacked in her home in Sonargaon, Narayanganj. Lamia has alleged that about 40 miscreants attacked her home on Saturday afternoon with the intention of grabbing land. She somehow returned to Dhaka to save her life.
After the incident, Lamia Chowdhury went on Facebook Live and said, "Bricks were being thrown at us, I fell to the ground." The live video shows a crowd of excited people in the courtyard of the house.
In another video, Lamia is seen crying, with someone holding ice to help her leg while her leg is injured. Later, in a video, she is seen sitting in a private car where the front window of the car is broken. Lamia said, "They broke my leg. I somehow escaped and survived."
Lamia said that she has been left alone after the death of her parents. An attempt was made to grab the land using this opportunity. She has not yet given details about who is behind the attack.
Lamia wrote in several posts on social media, "Is there no one by my side? Do I have no help because my parents are dead?" She called a press conference at her Gulshan residence on Saturday afternoon.
