Trump warns Iran of 'strong response' if protesters are executed

US President Donald Trump has warned that the United States will take strong action if the execution of protesters begins to quell the ongoing anti-government protests in Iran. In an interview with CBS News on Tuesday, he made it clear that if Iran makes such a decision, the United States will be forced to respond strongly.

In the interview, Trump said, "If they do something like that, we will respond very strongly." He made the comment when asked about the possibility that the executions could take place from Wednesday. Trump's statement has raised new concerns in the international community about the situation in Iran.

In a video message published online, Trump also said, "They have already killed thousands of people. And now they are talking about executions. So let's see what happens to them." He indicated that the level of human rights violations in Iran has reached an alarming level and the United States is closely monitoring the issue.

During the interview, Trump was in the northern US state of Michigan. There, he visited a manufacturing plant and spoke about the country's economic situation. In his speech, he also brought up the issue of the Iranian protesters.

In his speech, Trump repeated his previous message on social media, saying that "help is coming" for the Iranian protesters. However, he admitted that the actual number of casualties in Iran is not yet known for sure. He said, "I'm hearing all kinds of numbers. Even one death is a lot. But some are saying a low number, some are saying a lot."

Later, while talking to reporters on his way back to Washington, Trump said that he would soon receive a detailed briefing on the situation in Iran. He said, "The level of killing seems to be high. I will know the details in 20 minutes and take action accordingly."

It is worth noting that Trump had previously warned that the United States would intervene if protesters were killed in Iran. According to his claim, that "red line" had already been crossed a few days ago. Analysts believe that Trump's latest comments could further heat up Iran-US relations.
