Former US President Donald Trump has expressed his tough stance on Iran's enriched uranium. He commented on this in a post on his social media on Monday (May 25).
Trump said that Iran's enriched uranium or nuclear material must be brought under control quickly. According to his statement, it needs to be handed over to the United States and safely destroyed or deactivated at a designated location under international supervision.
He also claimed that discussions are underway between Tehran and Washington on this issue through regional mediators. He also mentioned that the entire process should be completed through international monitoring and supervision.
Trump's statement also emphasized the presence of the International Atomic Energy Agency or an equivalent institution. According to analysts, new diplomatic talks and tensions may increase around the nuclear issue in the Middle East.
