Former President Professor Dr. AQM Baruddozza Chowdhury passed away. He was hospitalized with a lung infection. He died in the hospital on Saturday midnight. Badruddoza Chowdhury's press secretary Jahangir Alam confirmed this information.
Badruddoza Chowdhury was admitted to Uttara Mahila Medical College Hospital on October 2 due to lung infection. The country's famous doctor and senior politician with a colorful life B. Chowdhury was born on October 11, 1930 in Nanabari in Comilla city.
He started politics in 1978 at the request of Major General Ziaur Rahman. Elected President on November 14, 2001. He resigned from the post of President on June 21, 2002 due to political reasons.
The former president founded a political party called Aksapanthara Bangladesh on May 8, 2004. He is serving as the president of the party till his death.
