Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi has expressed deep grief over the death of seven Bangladeshis in a fire at a hotel in Kolkata. At the same time, he assured to ensure all necessary assistance to the families of the victims.

The Indian High Commissioner told reporters after meeting Health Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain at the Secretariat on Thursday (August 20) morning.

Expresses grief over death of seven Bangladeshis

Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi said that he is very saddened by the death of seven Bangladeshis in a hotel accident in Kolkata. He also assured to ensure necessary assistance to the families of the deceased.

He said that everything necessary will be ensured for the families of the victims. The Indian High Commissioner also assured to take appropriate action in this incident.

Meeting with Health Minister

Health Minister Sardar Md. During the meeting with Sakhawat Hossain, various issues of mutual interest between the two countries were discussed.

After the meeting, the Health Minister said that the Indian High Commissioner has invited Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to visit India.

Dinesh Trivedi also said that he feels good to be in Bangladesh at this time.

The death of Bangladeshi citizens in an accident at a hotel in Kolkata has created an atmosphere of mourning among the relatives. In such a situation, the Indian High Commissioner has assured to ensure necessary support to the affected families.
