Deadline for withdrawal of nominations ends today in Raksu, voting on September 25

Today, Saturday (September 13), is the last day to withdraw nominations for the Rajshahi University Central Students' Union (RACSU) elections. The final candidature will be announced tomorrow, Sunday (September 14). After that, the candidates will be able to officially campaign.
A total of 9 panels have already been announced until Thursday (September 11). However, no organization except Chhatra Dal and Chhatra Shibir could provide a full panel. As a result, the main competition will be between the partially announced panels.
According to the Election Commission, 20 candidates are contesting for the post of VP, 14 for the post of GS, and 16 for the post of AGS in this election.

1. Chhatra Dal nominated panel
2. Chhatra Shibir-supported 'United Students' Alliance'
3. 'RACSU for Radical Change'
4. 'Democratic Students' Council'
5. 'Invincible 71, Irresistible 24'
6. 'Anti-Hegemonic Unity'
7. ‘Universal Student Union’
8. ‘Conscious Student Council’
9. ‘Independent Student Union’
There is discussion on campus, the main competition will be between six strong panels. Especially Chhatra Dal, Chhatra Shibir-supported Combined Student Union, Raksu for Radical Change, Democratic Student Union, Anti-Hegemony Unity and Universal Student Union.
Combined Student Union (Shibir-supported): Current president Mostakur Rahman Zahid for VP, Fazle Rabbi Md. Fahim Reza for GS, SM Salman Sabbir for AGS.
Chhatra Dal nominated: Sheikh Nur Uddin Abir for VP, Nafiul Jiban for GS, Jahin Biswas Esha for AGS.
Anti-Hegemony Unity: Mehedi Sajeeb for VP, Salauddin Ammar for GS, Akil Bin Taleb for AGS.
Democratic Student Council: Fuad Ratul for VP, Kausar Ahmed for GS, Nasim Sarkar for AGS.
RAKSHU for Radical Change: Mehedi Maruf for VP, Afrin Jahan for GS, Al Shahriar Shuvo for AGS.
Universal Student Parliament: Tasin Khan for VP (first female-led candidate), Rajan Al Ahmed for GS, Mahair Islam for AGS.
Chief Election Commissioner Professor F Nazrul Islam said, "Today is the last day to withdraw nominations. The final candidature will be announced tomorrow. After that, candidates can start campaigning in accordance with the code of conduct."
According to the revised schedule, voting will be held at the Academic Bhaban from 9 am to 4 pm on September 25. The results will be announced after counting the votes on the same day.
