BNP will provide rehabilitation and assistance to families of martyrs and injured in the last 17 years if it comes to power: Dudu

BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu said that if BNP comes to power, it will provide rehabilitation and assistance to families of martyrs and injured in the last 17 years. He said these things at a discussion organized by the July 24 Fighters' Movement Center at the National Press Club on Wednesday (October 8).
Dudu said, "BNP is not yet in power, does not have MPs, is not in the government. Therefore, it is inappropriate to put the responsibility of the country's current failure on the shoulders of BNP. There is a government in the country, we should focus on them."
He also mentioned, "A neighboring country of ours has cooperated in destroying Bangladesh's democracy. Even after three sham elections, they recognized it as a successful election and garlanded Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. This proves that they have taken a stand for a party, not the people of Bangladesh."
Dudu said, “We have dismissed the murderous government, but the work does not end here. Now we need a genuine national election and the formation of a people-based government. Until that happens, we have to remain united. There can be no compromise on the issue of democracy.”
The discussion meeting was attended by Md. Rezaul Karim Reza, convener of the July 24 Fighters Movement, Member Secretary Abdullah Al-Mamun, BNP Joint Secretary General Advocate Abdus Salam Azad, Executive Committee Member Abu Naser Md. Rahmatullah and President of the ‘Save the Country, Save the People’ Movement K. M. Rakibul Islam Ripon, among others.
