At the long march and road meeting held in Tentulia, Panchagarh, Sarjis Alam, the main organizer of the northern region of the National Citizens Party (NCP), gave a stern warning to power outages and NESCO directly. He clearly stated that there is no more exemption for extortionists, syndicates, drug gangs and corrupt people who suck the blood of the people.
At the road meeting held at Tentul Tola on Saturday (October 11) evening, Sarjis Alam said, “We will see those who steal and speak loudly and will pluck out their black teeth and black snake eyes. We will praise those who are good, but we will not give space to the bad.” He also said that those who gave their lives in the July coup were not politicians or their children, but the children of ordinary people and workers. However, at present, a few extortionists, smugglers, syndicates and drug dealers are sucking the blood of the common people in every district. He called on everyone to resist this situation.
The long march started at noon from the sugar mill field in Panchagarh district town. More than five hundred NCP and National Youth Force leaders and activists participated in it on motorcycles. During the long march, Sarjis Alam held three road meetings, where in addition to making the common people aware, a strong message was given against extortion, encroachment, syndicates and corruption.
Sarjis Alam said that this arrangement was mainly done to give a strong message against the corrupt and criminals.
