Police have arrested Awami League leader Solaiman in the Bandaushan area of Ward No. 3 of Gaokandia Union No. 7 of Durgapur Upazila in Netrokona. He was arrested in a sudden raid at his own shop in Bandaushan Bazar at around 7:05 pm on Thursday. Although the situation in the area was normal at first, the incident soon sparked widespread discussion among the locals.
According to local sources, shortly after dusk, a few police members quickly entered the market and took a position directly in front of Solaiman's shop. He was then taken out of the shop and taken to a police car. The incident happened so quickly that many people around could not understand what was happening. However, within a short time, the news spread in the area and the presence of curious people at the scene increased. The police stayed for a very short time and took Solaiman to the police station.
There have been mixed reactions across the area after this incident. Some have asked for the reason for the sudden police raid and have raised questions about the matter. On the other hand, some say that this is part of the legal process, there is nothing special about it. Since Solaiman is a well-known political leader locally, various discussions have started in the local political arena regarding his arrest.
In this regard, the responsible officials of Durgapur Police Station said that Solaiman has been arrested as part of the legal process. When asked about the exact allegation or case on which he has been arrested, the police said that the matter will be informed to the media after the necessary formalities are completed.
Although there has been some tension in the area since the incident, the overall situation is under control of the police and local administration. The administration is on alert to ensure that the situation remains normal and is closely monitoring the entire matter.
