Cristiano Ronaldo is facing disciplinary action after leaving his national team camp following an expression of frustration toward his coach. The Portuguese Football Federation’s disciplinary council has handed the five-time Ballon d'Or winner a 30-day suspension and a fine of 255 Euros for a breach of discipline.

In Bangladeshi currency, this fine amounts to approximately 35,383 Taka. An analysis by the British media outlet *Daily Mail* reveals that Ronaldo earns roughly 488,000 GBP per day—equivalent to about 80 million Taka—from his Saudi club, Al-Nassr. At this rate, it would take the Portuguese star only 38 seconds to earn an amount equal to this fine.

The incident originated during a match against Norway in the international break last September. Although Portugal won the match 2–1, the 41-year-old star remained on the bench for the entire duration. According to Ronaldo, coach Jorge Jesus had promised him at least half an hour of playing time but ultimately did not field him. Subsequently, ahead of a UEFA Nations League match against Denmark, Ronaldo left the team camp in Copenhagen.

While coach Jorge Jesus has denied making any such promise, Ronaldo later issued a lengthy statement on social media, expressing regret to his teammates and fans. He acknowledged his mistake and stated that he would accept any disciplinary measures imposed.

Following an investigation that confirmed the breach of discipline, Ronaldo was handed a 30-day suspension. The ban is retroactive to the day he left the camp—September 30—and is set to conclude on October 29. Pedro Proença, president of the Portuguese Football Federation, remarked that everyone hopes to move past the controversy and see Ronaldo back on the pitch. Discussions are currently underway regarding whether he will return to the squad for the next round of international matches, scheduled for mid-November.
