A smart team of the Bangladesh Army conducted an operation in the capital's Mohammadpur early on Thursday (August 7) and arrested teenage gang leader Md. Nayan (20) and his three associates. Country-made weapons, chapatis, samurai, knives and two cocktail bombs were recovered from them in the operation.
The other three associates arrested are Md. Hridoy (26), Md. Mehedi Hossain (21) and Md. Al-Amin (21). An officer of the army's 46th Independent Infantry Brigade confirmed the matter and said that a video of a showdown between Nayan and his teenage gang using country-made weapons in the Chand Udyan area of Mohammadpur recently went viral. The video also captured a person being stabbed and injured, which was later published in the media.

Finally, Nayan's location was identified around 4 pm on Thursday and he was first arrested. Later, according to the information provided by him, three more associates were arrested and their various hideouts were searched.
