Youth arrested for attempting to smuggle yaba through anal route in Cox's Bazar, 2,000 pills recovered

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has arrested a young man named Jahangir Ayesh (25) on charges of smuggling yaba through the anus in Teknaf, Cox's Bazar. A total of 1,982 yaba pills were recovered from his body.
On Sunday afternoon, a CNG-powered autorickshaw from Teknaf to Cox's Bazar was stopped at the Hoi Kang check post and searched. During initial interrogation, Jahangir confessed to hiding yaba through the anus. Later, the presence of yaba was confirmed through an X-ray test.
The BGB said that the recovered yaba was being brought from Teknaf to Cox's Bazar for smuggling. Regarding the operation and arrest, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Jasim Uddin said that intelligence surveillance has been strengthened to identify drug smugglers and bring them under the law. The arrested Jahangir and the recovered yaba have been handed over to Teknaf Police Station.
Security in Teknaf and Cox's Bazar has been further strengthened following this incident, and strict action has been ordered to be taken against such drug smuggling attempts in the future.
