Medical staff at Tetulia Hospital hold 2-hour strike demanding 10th grade

Medical technologists and pharmacists have held a two-hour strike at Tetulia Upazila Health Complex in Panchagarh demanding the implementation of 10th grade.

They held a protest in front of the hospital's outpatient department from 9 am to 11 am on Sunday (November 30).

During the strike, the speakers complained that despite working on the frontline in various health risks, from corona to dengue, they are still not getting fair grades. They said that although other diploma-holding officers have been promoted to the second grade, discrimination remains in the case of medical technologists.

The speakers demanded the implementation of 10th grade quickly and said that if their demands are not met, a half-day strike will be held on November 3 and a full-day program will be held on November 4. At the same time, they warned of a tougher movement.

Jewel Rana, Pharmacist Shamim Hossain, Pharmacist Ismail Hossain, Medical Technologist Bidhan Krishna Samanta, Dentist Anwar Hossain and others.
