Journalists hold meeting with newly appointed Deputy Commissioner in Narail

A meeting was held with the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Narail district, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Salam, and the working media workers of the district. The meeting was organized at 11:30 am on Thursday (December 5) in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner.
The meeting was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Abdul Salam.
The ongoing development activities in Narail, service activities, coordination between administration and media, and the role of journalists in providing news in the public interest were discussed in detail in the meeting. The Deputy Commissioner welcomed the constructive suggestions and innovative ideas of the journalists and said that the administration and the media will work jointly to advance the development of Narail.
The participating media workers highlighted various problems in gathering news at the field level, obtaining information, administrative cooperation, and professional challenges. They emphasized on strengthening coordination with the administration.
Narail Press Club General Secretary Mahbubur Rashid Lavlu, Narail Journalists Union President Kazi Ashraf, General Secretary Mirza Mahmud Hossain Rontu, Journalists Unity President Ziaur Rahman Jami, Reporters Unity President Humayun Kabir Rintu, and journalists from various print and electronic media in the district were present at the meeting.
All those present expressed the opinion that the meeting will play an important role in further promoting trust, coordination, and developmental cooperation between journalism and the administration.
