Samanjar Sayeed is leaving for Vietnam to represent Bangladesh in the international beauty pageant 'Miss World 2026'.
She will leave Dhaka on Saturday to participate in the global event that will begin in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, on Sunday.
Before her departure, Samanjar spoke about her preparations and goals for the world stage at a press conference held in Banani on Thursday.
Wants to showcase Bangladesh with confidence
Samanjar, who graduated in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from North South University, said that she participated in the Miss World Bangladesh competition out of curiosity.
She won the crown after participating for the first time.
Regarding her goals for the world stage, Samanjar said that the biggest challenge will be to maintain confidence and present the things she has learned so far to an international audience.
She said that since winning, she has undergone special training for personality development, presentation skills and preparation for international competitions.
Interest in singing, dancing and culture
Samanjar has been interested in creative work since childhood.
She has learned Kathak and Bharatanatyam for four years. However, she had to stay away from these for some time due to her busy university studies.
Now she wants to return to her areas of interest. This young woman has expressed her desire to join acting if she gets a good story and character in the future.
Miss World Bangladesh wins the crown
The winner of 'Miss World Bangladesh 2026' was announced on July 11 through a grand event.
Samanjar Sayeed received the winner's crown from the outgoing Miss World Bangladesh 2025 Aklima Atika Konika.
Swagata Saha was the first runner-up in the competition and Labiba Manjur was selected as the second runner-up.
Bangladesh hopes for grand finale
The grand finale of Miss World 2026 will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on September 5.
Samanjar Saeed's main goal now is to bring honor to Bangladesh by competing with contestants from different countries around the world.
