Ajay Devgn-starrer 'Drishyam 3: The Conclusion' has made a spectacular start, grossing ₹95.10 crore worldwide on its opening day. Released on Friday (October 2), the film has surpassed not only the previous two installments of the franchise but also all prior opening records of Ajay's career.

According to box office tracker Sacnilk, the film's net collection in India on the first day was ₹66.75 crore, with a gross collection of ₹80.10 crore. An additional ₹15 crore came from overseas markets. In total, the worldwide opening-day collection stood at ₹95.10 crore.

Biggest Opening of Ajay's Career

Prior to 'Drishyam 3', 'Singham Again' was one of Ajay Devgn's biggest openers. The new film has surpassed that record, marking the highest opening-day collection of his career.

The contrast with the previous two films in the 'Drishyam' series is also stark. The first 'Drishyam', released in 2015, earned ₹5.85 crore in India on its opening day, while 'Drishyam 2' (2022) collected ₹15.38 crore.

By comparison, the third installment earned more than four times the opening-day revenue of the second film.

Over 15,000 Shows

On its release day, 'Drishyam 3' had 15,759 screenings across various cinemas in India. By the end of the day, the average occupancy rate for the Hindi 2D version stood at 67.08 percent.

Audience turnout increased rapidly as the day progressed, rising significantly compared to the morning shows. Occupancy rates reached approximately 76.46 percent during the night shows.

Advance Bookings Hinted at Success

Audience interest in the film was evident even before its release. As advance ticket sales surged, trade analysts revised their initial forecasts.

Ultimately, the actual theatre turnout proved to be even stronger than those expectations. With a net opening-day collection of ₹66.75 crore, Drishyam 3 has secured a spot among the biggest Hindi movie openers of 2026.

The Final Chapter of Vijay Salgaonkar

Ajay Devgn reprises the role of Vijay Salgaonkar in Drishyam 3: The Conclusion. Much like the previous two films, the narrative revolves around a battle of wits and a confrontation with a police investigation, all centered on protecting his family.

The film features an ensemble cast alongside Ajay, including Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Prakash Raj. It is directed by Abhishek Pathak.

In this final installment of the franchise, Jaideep Ahlawat appears as the new police officer, Rajveer Singh Tomar.

All Eyes on the Weekend

Having nearly touched the ₹100 crore mark on its opening day, Drishyam 3 is poised for a massive opening weekend. However, the film's long-term box office success will depend on its earnings over the second and third days and its ability to sustain audience turnout throughout the first week.

The Hindi Drishyam franchise, which began a decade ago with an opening-day collection of just ₹5.85 crore, has now grossed over ₹95 crore worldwide on the opening day of its third installment.
