3,731 Ansar and VDP Members to Be Deployed at 287 Polling Centers in Panchagarh

A total of 3,731 members of the Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) will be deployed at 287 polling centers across Panchagarh district for the 13th National Parliamentary Election. The polling centers are located in Tetulia, Panchagarh Sadar, and Atwari upazilas, covering the district’s two parliamentary constituencies.
According to election-related sources, each polling center will be staffed by 13 Ansar and VDP members. Among the 287 centers, 160 have been identified as vulnerable or highly vulnerable. These centers will each have three armed personnel, while general polling centers will be guarded by two armed members.
As part of election preparations, a coordination and readiness rally was held on Tuesday (10 February) at the field of the Panchagarh District Ansar and VDP Office.
The event was addressed by District Commandant of Ansar and VDP, Mohammad Rakib Uddin, who attended as the chief guest and provided operational guidance to the deployed personnel.
Also present were SM Raihan Helal, Deputy Director of the Thakurgaon Ansar Battalion, along with district- and upazila-level officials. All Ansar and VDP members assigned election duties participated in the rally.
