Final of Late Arafat Rahman Koko Memorial Football Tournament held in Savar

The final match of Late Arafat Rahman Koko Memorial Football Tournament-2025 was held in a festive atmosphere in Savar. The entire area turned into a lively sports festival centered around this final match organized at the Unail Darul Uloom Islamia Alim Madrasa ground. Spectators started gathering in the field and surrounding areas since morning, which further increased the excitement of the final match.
After the game, BNP Central Deputy Family Welfare Affairs Secretary Dr. Dewan Mohammad Salauddin Babu handed over the prizes to the winning team. In a brief speech at the award ceremony, he said that Late Arafat Rahman Koko was not only a sports-loving person, but he also inspired the youth to build a healthy, disciplined and humane life through sports. He expressed hope that this memorial tournament will interest the new generation in sports and play an important role in keeping them away from social ills like drugs and crime.
Ashulia Thana BNP General Secretary Abdul Gafur was present as the main speaker at the event. He said that sports are one of the means to guide the youth in the right direction. If such events are organized regularly, positive changes will come in the society. Dhaka District North Chhatra Dal President Mohammad Tamiz Uddin was under the overall supervision of the entire tournament.
Ward No. 2 BNP President Abdul Halim Master presided over the final match and award distribution ceremony. In addition, leaders of BNP and its various organizations were present at the event and encouraged the players.
Thousands of spectators gathered in and around the field to watch the final match. The entire area became lively with the spontaneous presence of people of all ages, including men and women, young and old. The match became more lively with the applause, enthusiasm and slogans of the spectators and the day turned into a memorable sports festival for the people of Savar.
