Kavan Sullivan, an American footballer of Bangladeshi descent, has caught the attention of top European clubs at the age of just 16. Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are regularly monitoring the young midfielder's performances.
Kavan currently plays for Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union. His mother's family has German and Bangladeshi roots. Thanks to his outstanding performances at a young age, he has earned a spot in the United States' age-group national teams.
In 2024, Kavan signed a contract with Philadelphia Union running through 2028. At the same time, a planned pathway was established for him to join Manchester City in the future; he is set to join the English club once he becomes eligible to move to England at the age of 18.
Recent reports indicate that Real Madrid and Barcelona have renewed their interest in Kavan's situation. However, the young footballer has shown no signs of deviating from the plan to join Manchester City.
Kavan made history by debuting in the MLS at just 14 years of age. If he can maintain his consistent form, interest in him within European football is likely to grow further in the coming days.
