The West Indies team is coming to Bangladesh next month to play three ODIs and three T20Is. After arriving in Dhaka on October 15, the exciting series will begin. All the matches will be played at three different venues—Sylhet, Chittagong and Mirpur.
The series will begin with an ODI match on October 18, which will end on November 1. Two of the ODIs will be held in Sylhet, the remaining one in Chittagong. In addition, the first T20I will be held in Chittagong, and the last two at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur. BCB sources confirmed the matter to Dhaka Post.
Last year, the Tigers whitewashed the West Indies for the first time in Bangladesh. Bangladesh also tasted victory in the three-match T20I series held in the Caribbean, but they were whitewashed in the ODI series. The Test series was drawn 1-1.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) elections are scheduled to be held in the first week of October. The situation became somewhat heated when former captain Tamim Iqbal also entered the election field after protests by Dhaka clubs on August 24. The issue of the election was discussed seriously at the BCB board of directors meeting in Sylhet on September 1. According to sources, the election may be held on October 4.
