According to the Iranian military and state media, the country has developed a new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), which is capable of hitting targets up to 10,000 km. This missile will be able to directly target parts of Europe and the United States.

Although the Iranian news agency Tasnim published this information on November 7 last year, Western countries have not yet confirmed the authenticity of this news.

Previously, Iran's maximum range missiles were 2,000–4,000 km, which mainly covered the Gulf countries, Israel and Eastern Europe. The new 10,000-km range missiles are capable of hitting cities on the East Coast of the United States - such as Washington DC, New York.

Current Iranian missiles, such as the Khorramshahr-4, only reach 2,000–4,000 km. However, Iran has recently tested a solid-fuel missile, which can be launched quickly. According to experts, producing solid fuel for such a long range is very complex and this indicates a new direction for Iran's defense capabilities.

Global politics and security experts see this new missile as a major step for Iran's defense and strategic position, as it is capable of directly impacting US and European targets.
