8 million people across the US in 'No Kings' protests against Trump

About 8 million people have taken part in massive protests against US President Donald Trump across the country. In this movement called 'No Kings', millions of people took to the streets on Saturday (March 28) to express their anger at his leadership.
Organizers claim that the protests have spread to all 50 states in the US. Participants complain that the Trump administration is trying to establish excessive control over the judiciary and state institutions, which could threaten the democratic structure.
Earlier, a movement with the same name took place in October last year. However, this time the number of participants is reported to be about 1 million more.
This 'No Kings' movement against various policies of Donald Trump began after he came to power for a second term in January 2024. The protesters said that they took to the streets to send a message that there is no place for 'monarchy' in the United States.
The protests also reflect public discontent over a range of issues, including immigration policy, mass detention and deportation of immigrants, abortion bans, and environmental policies.
According to analysts, such a large-scale movement could further increase political pressure on the Trump administration and influence future policymaking.
