Former MP Golam Maula Rani has launched a scathing attack on social media over the removal of stones from the Bholaganj Sapadhar area in Sylhet. On Wednesday afternoon, he wrote on his Facebook, "The Sapadhar area of Bholaganj was a mess! Patriotic people have removed the stones with great difficulty and with great joy! Now the entire area is sparkling with sand!"
He also wrote that the navigability of the river has increased due to the removal of stones in the river's flow path. As a result, more fish, water and stones are entering from India without hindrance.
Sarcastically, Golam Maula Rani said that the way the 'reset button' has been pressed in Bholaganj, if the patriotic people carry out activities in the rivers, mountains and seas of the country, the entire country will soon turn into a desert. "Then there will be oil under the desert, thousands of camels, rams, and sheep will roam, the locals will become Arab couriers, and Indians will be hired to build sand farms," he added.
