Abhijit Deep, founder of the 'Cockroach Janata Party' (CJP) in India, has been released; however, two other leaders of the party—Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka—remain in prison. Lawyers have filed an application with a special executive magistrate in Delhi seeking their release.
According to a report by the Indian media outlet *India Today*, the necessary documentation from the sureties has been submitted. It is expected that a decision regarding the application may be reached on Sunday (October 18).

Last Wednesday (October 14), Sourav and Ashutosh were remanded to Tihar Jail for five days of judicial custody, following allegations that they entered Delhi’s Jantar Mantar without permission and violated the terms of a bond to maintain public peace.
The Delhi Police claim that the individuals attempted to stage a protest in the area in defiance of established restrictions. The CJP, however, alleges that its leaders were detained specifically for hoisting the national flag and engaging in a peaceful protest.
Meanwhile, CJP founder Abhijit Deep was detained near his residence on Friday while on his way to participate in a protest in Delhi. He was subsequently released on Saturday (October 17) after signing a bond to maintain public peace.

Following his release, Abhijit stated on social media that he is now awaiting the release of the other two party leaders.
As of the latest reports, it has not yet been confirmed whether a final decision has been reached regarding the release of Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka.
